The Maumee girls soccer team is coming off one of its toughest three-game stretches of the season, with road games against Northview, Wapakoneta and Notre Dame.

Combined record of those three teams? 10-4-1.

A Saturday matchup with winless Northwood was just what the doctor ordered. The Panthers broke their three-match losing streak with an 11-1 win over the Rangers.

Evelyn Boyett and Charley Bischoff each had two goals and an assist in the win. Miriam Findling added two goals.

Shannon Tolbert had a goal and three assists, and Ainsley Heckman had a goal and an assist. Jaiden Kovar, Malaya Jones and Kendall O’Shea each scored goals.

The Panthers started the week with a 3-0 loss at Northview.

The road doesn’t get too much easier for Maumee, though. It was scheduled to face Genoa and Celina on the road this week before hosting Oak Harbor on Wednesday, September 11.
